Gruppo Cremonini
Gruppo Cremonini is a family-owned livestock company, founded in 1963 by Luigi Cremonini, which operates in three business segments. The group's production activities (predominantly through subsidiary Inalca) make it one of Europe's largest beef processors, with an annual commercialised capacity of over 500,000 tonnes of meat. In distribution, subsidiary Marr serves 45,000 customers annually, operating out of 35 distribution centres with a fleet of over 700 vehicles. Finally, Cremonini also operates in catering, where subsidiary Chef Express is Italy's foremost train catering company. The company has a global presence and is active in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Segment ranking summary

It performs below average in the first two segments while it sits towards the bottom of the restaurants and food service providers’ ranking. While the company lags behind its peers in all the three segments, it has the opportunity to align better with the other companies by disclosing qualitative evidence and targets on protein diversification as well as a policy on reducing the prophylactic use of antibiotics or growth promoting substances.
