Coamo Agroindustrial Cooperativa
Coamo Agroindustrial Cooperativa was founded in 1970 by a group of 79 farmers, and today works with over 28,000 associates across agricultural products including soybean, corn, wheat and coffee. In addition to 110 warehouses with a storage capacity of nearly 6.6 million tonnes of product, the cooperative also maintains its own sea terminal and an industrial park composed of five soybean crushing machines, soybean oil refinery, hydrogenated fat mill, margarine industry, cotton mill, and a wheat meal. In 2018, Coamo Agroindustrial Cooperativa was responsible for 3.2% of nationwide grain and fibre production.
