Walmart
Walmart is the world's largest retailer by revenue, serving an estimated 265 million customers weekly across 11,500 stores and 56 e-commerce banners, as well as the largest employer with an estimated 2.2 million employees. The company has three business segments; Walmart US, Walmart International and Sam's Club, and operates through many wholly- and majority-owned subsidiaries in a further 27 countries outside of its home market. Walmart was founded in 1945 by Sam Walton, incorporated in 1965, and the Walton family remain the majority stakeholder to this day.
