Unilever
Unilever is a British-Dutch transnational consumer goods company, founded in 1929 by the merger of the Dutch margarine producer Margarine Unie and the British soapmaker Lever Brothers. Today, it is one of the world's largest and oldest consumer good businesses producing personal care, home care, foods and refreshments products, with a product portfolio of over 400 brands which is available to consumers in 190 countries. The manufacturing of products takes place in Unilever’s 300 factories and 700 third party manufacturers, with an estimated 2.5 billion people globally using Unilever's products and brands. Recently, the company has opened a new global Foods Innovation Centre on the campus of Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
