Sanderson Farms is a vertically integrated poultry processing company, engaged in the production, processing, marketing and distribution of fresh, frozen and prepared chicken. Sanderson Farms has grown from a small general feed and seed business in 1947 to today having sales of more than $3.4 billion and approximately 623 million processed chickens in 2019. The company sells its fresh and frozen chicken products primarily under the Sanderson Farms brand name to retailers, distributors and casual dining operators and it is currently the third largest poultry producer in the US, operating through 12 poultry plants and one processing facility.
