Bayer
Bayer is a life science company with three main divisions: pharmaceuticals, consumer health and crop science. The crop science division is the company’s agricultural enterprise, with businesses in crop protection, seed and non-agricultural pest control. Other relevant activities include its nutritional supplement through its Consumer Health division, and its Animal Health business unit which develops products to fight farm animal diseases. In August 2018, Bayer completed the $66 billion takeover of the US-based company Monsanto. As a result of this acquisition, Bayer has divested part of its seed activities and portfolios to German chemical company BASF.
