California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS)
The California Public Employees' Retirement System is an agency in the California executive branch that manages the largest public pension fund in the US. CalPERS builds retirement and health security for California state, school, and public agency members, and manages pension and health benefits for more than 1.5 million California public employees, retirees, and their families. Founded in 1932, it employs 2,843 staff and is headquartered in Sacramento, California, United States.
