NYCERS
The New York City Employees’ Retirement System (NYCERS) was founded in 1920 by the New York State Legislature with 13,331 members. Today, NYCERS has grown into the largest municipal public employee retirement system in the United States with over 350,000 active members and retirees including civilian employees, social workers, and uniformed employees. NYCERS is one of the five New York City Pension Funds and the second largest among the five. As of February 2024, NYCERS has a total net asset value of 84.18 billion USD.
