Formed in 1949 by the joint board for Byforbundet (the Union of Norwegian Cities) and Herredsforbundet (the Norwegian Association of Rural Munucipalities), Kommunal Landspensjonskasse Gjensidig Forsikkringsselskap (KLP) is a pension provider in Norway. KLP provides pensions, finance and insurance services to municipalities, county authorities, health enterprises and to businesses both in the public and the private sector, and to their employees. The KLP Group has total assets of NOK 745 billion and has over 1,000 employees.
