Hong Kong Monetary Authority is the government authority in Hong Kong responsible for maintaining monetary and banking stability. It is established on April 1, 1993, by the merging the Office the Exchange Fund and the Office of the Commissioner of Banking. Hong Kong Monetary Authority is a part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
