Su-Mae Chua

Su-Mae Chua joined WBA in 2025, focusing on the intersection of environmental justice, resilience, and critical development. At TU Delft’s Resilience Lab, she previously examined the trade-offs in resilience thinking and implementation, with an emphasis on Global South and local perspectives. 

Su-Mae holds a BA in Geography from University College London (UCL) and an MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management from the Erasmus Mundus Program. Her multicultural upbringing across eight countries has shaped her nuanced understanding of complex systems and global environmental challenges.
