Semia Parmenter

Semia joined the WBA in 2020 as a Communications Lead. She believes in the power of communications to flag important issues, start necessary conversations and connect people around the globe to drive positive change. Her focus will be on increasing the general awareness of the WBA’s activities, reaching existing and new audiences and optimising the organisations’ social media presence.

Prior to joining the WBA, Semia worked in a range of communications and project management related roles spanning private, public and third sector. Most recently she spent time working at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association, where she managed digital marketing channels, organised conferences and events and lead a committee of financial analysts to drive debate on emerging environmental, social and governance issues. She holds a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Zurich and a Masters in International Communications from the University of Leeds.
