Ocean Ideation

Ocean Ideation's first decree is to protect the ocean and its ecosystem. They work with youth - developing and harnessing their skills for ocean health protection and maritime careers; contributing towards sustainable oceans and job creation – for coastal communities. Through partnerships, they formulate solutions and strategies using innovation and technology to mitigate challenges caused by the impact of over fishing; pollution and managing the Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). Their collaboration with local and international stakeholders seeks to address the local skills shortage and mismatch in the maritime sector; by developing sector skills in line local sectoral demand and global trends; creation of a knowledge and innovation hub accessible to all interested in indigenous knowledge and the health of oceans and solutions based on best practices on the use of information; communication technologies developed for monitoring and reporting through data and AI.
