James Pearson

James Pearson is a Stakeholder Engagement Lead at WBA where he works with companies, investors, civil society, policy makers and government representatives to advance corporate accountability in Australia.  

James passionately believes that it’s possible to generate strong returns for shareholders and still have a positive impact for people and planet. 

Before joining WBA James was Head of Impact and Responsible Investments at QBE Insurance Group. For nearly 10 years James was leading QBE’s approach to responsible investment including the innovative impact investing initiative “Premiums4Good” as well as QBE’s commitment to NetZero2050 in the investment’s portfolio.  

Prior to this James worked for over 10 years in the global equities markets including roles as a Stockbroker, Research Analyst and as a Global Portfolio Manager.  

James holds qualifications across a wide range of areas including applied finance, economics, politics and psychology.
