Elizabeth McKeon

Liz McKeon is a strategic leader with more than 30 years of experience advancing philanthropy, international development, and systems change across the climate, economic opportunity, and social impact sectors. Most recently, she served as Director of Programmes, Planet at the IKEA Foundation, where she oversaw strategy and investments in climate spanning clean energy, transport, the built environment, corporate accountability, coal exit and just transition. Throughout her career, Liz has held senior leadership roles with the Ford Foundation, USAID, the MacArthur Foundation, guiding complex international initiatives, building cross-sector partnerships, and strengthening organizations through periods of significant change. 

Liz holds degrees from the Harvard Kennedy School and Georgetown University, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She currently serves on the boards of Climate Breakthrough, the International Sustainable Energy Foundation (ISEF) and HERA. Liz brings to the board expertise in climate philanthropy, governance, and strategic leadership, along with a longstanding commitment to fostering ambitious, collaborative solutions to global challenges.
