WBA wins recognition at the PRI Awards 2025

We are proud to share that the World Benchmarking Alliance’s Collective Impact Coalition on Ethical AI has won the 2025 PRI Award  in the Recognition for Action – Human Rights category.

This award celebrates bold and impactful efforts to protect and promote human rights through investment and stewardship. The coalition embodies this by uniting investors and civil society in advocating for digital companies to develop and use artificial intelligence responsibly and transparently, guided by the respect for human rights.

Since its launch in 2022, the coalition—convened by WBA and co-led by investors Amundi, Boston Common Asset Management, Candriam, Fidelity International, with CSO co-leads Women At The Table and Paradigm Initiative, and supported by a growing group of investors and civil society organisations—has:

  • Raised awareness of the human rights risks and opportunities artificial intelligence creates.
  • Encouraged technology companies to adopt and strengthen ethical AI policies and practices.
  • Built investor capacity to push for stronger governance and accountability.

We are honoured to receive the PRI Award for Recognition for Action – Human Rights. AI is a defining challenge of our time, with the potential to either entrench exclusion or drive inclusive progress. Through the CIC for Ethical AI, we aim to strengthen accountability and help ensure that technology is developed and deployed in ways that uphold human rights. We hope this recognition inspires more organisations to join us on the long road to true tech accountability.

Jan Rydzak, Digital Transformation Lead, World Benchmarking Alliance.

Being recognised at the PRI Awards reinforces what is possible when investors, civil society and companies come together with a shared vision: artificial intelligence that is ethical, transparent and truly human-centred.

It is a powerful reminder of why the Ethical AI CIC exists: to ensure artificial intelligence is developed and used in ways that respect human rights and leave no one behind.

We are proud of what has been achieved and even more inspired to keep advocating for responsible and ethical AI.

A special thank you to the Principles for Responsible Investment for this recognition.
