Join us: Road to COP26

How do we ensure decarbonisation of high-emitting sectors goes hand in hand with a just and equitable transition? How to ensure workers, communities and the most vulnerable are able to thrive in a future economy driven through green jobs? Read further on Just Transition here.

Join the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) online and in person at COP26 as we launch as we launch the first results of the just transition assessments.

We have assessed 180 globally influential companies on what they are doing to respect the rights of workers, communities and the most vulnerable as they work towards low-carbon goals. Covering oil and gas companies, electric utilities and automotive manufacturers and based on a methodology developed in multi-stakeholder consultation, the just transition assessments provide a unique view on corporate contributions to a just and equitable transition.

Climate Finance Day

Impact finance is growing and brings together a diversity of actors internationally. This new interest demonstrates the strong appetite of institutional investors and individuals, but paradoxically contributes to a scattering of practices and raises questions about the methodological robustness behind the logic of impact. This roundtable, where WBA’s Engagement Director Pauliina Murphy is speaking, will provide an opportunity to discuss the tools and methodologies needed to see the emergence of impact finance and measure its effect.
