Initial selection of industries and companies for WBA’s Food and Agriculture Benchmark now open for public consultation
One of the most pressing global challenges and opportunities of our time is feeding a growing population of 10 billion people by 2050 with a healthy diet from sustainable food systems. It is possible, but it is going to require no less than a great food system transformation and fast delivery.
Companies in this sector especially have an enormous capacity to drive change through their entire value chain but what is missing is a recipe for business to act on the clearly defined targets (set-out by the EAT Lancet Commission and global agendas like the SDGs). WBA’s Food and Agriculture Benchmark will be the first of its kind to rank companies across the entirety of the food system from farm to fork by their impact. This week we are launching the publication of our scoping report at the EAT Stockholm Food Forum. In our scope we identify the 300 keystone actors for inclusion in the benchmark.
To get the change we want to see in this food transformation we need your help. We welcome your feedback on the proposed scope of industries and companies and your organisation’s support through the development of the [LINK 0] : Food and Agriculture Benchmark. Please email your feedback to Nathan Cable or Carla Hommes before the end of October 2019.
