The WBA’s Food and Agriculture Benchmark aims to stimulate the most influential food and agriculture companies to apply sustainable business practices throughout their operations and supply chains. Acting as the private sector accountability mechanism, it will measure the performance of the 350 companies across the value chain on topics relating to environment, nutrition and social inclusion.

With the first full ranking to be published at the UN’s Food System Summit 2021 WBA is excited to launch now a prelude, with its baseline assessment on whether companies are on track for food systems transformation. The assessment is a snapshot of the commitments companies have made on key topics, painting an overall picture of trends across sectors, regions and issues. With this launch therefore comes not only an urgent call to action for both companies and stakeholders, but outlines a systems approach for the food companies across the 2030 agenda.
