Allies Assembly 2021

The 2021 Allies Assembly was built on the theme: “Activating the WBA Alliance through Collective Action”. Our Allies came together to reflect on how far we’ve come as a global community, look ahead at key upcoming milestones, and workshop how we can continue building on our collective skills, networks, and influence to positively impact company behaviour change in line with the SDGs.

Central to the entire program was storytelling, with Allies narrating how they have worked with the Alliance to strengthen their respective work, drive shared priorities, and drive systemic impact on the issues that matter most. We also had three keynote guest speakers, who reminded us of the task ahead, challenged us to up our game, and inspired us to act together in pursuit of a more inclusive and sustainable future: Ms. Hindou Ibrahim (UN SDG Advocate), Mr. Gonzalo Muñoz (High-level Champion for COP26), and Ms. Kaysie Brown (Vice President for Policy and Strategic Initiatives at the UN Foundation and WBA co-founder and Ambassador).
