WBA Data Dictionary

The Data Dictionary provides detailed definitions for every field available in the WBA Data Explorer. Understanding these fields is essential for correctly interpreting the data.

The dictionary contains 359 field definitions organised into three main categories:

  • Company Data (136 fields) — Information about the SDG2000 companies, including identifiers, industry classifications, emissions, climate profiles, and targets.
  • Methodology Data (68 fields) — The structure of our assessment frameworks, including measurement areas, indicators, elements, and attributes.
  • Benchmark Data (155 fields) — Assessment results, including scores at all levels and supporting evidence.

How to Use

Use the tabs and filters in the Data Dictionary below to find the fields you need:

  • Filter by Section — Select Company Data, Methodology Data, or Benchmark Data
  • Filter by Dataset — Narrow down to a specific dataset (e.g., Companies, Emissions, Benchmarks)
  • Search — Use the search function to find specific field names

Each field entry includes:

  • Portal Name — The field name as displayed in the Data Explorer
  • API Name — The field name used in API requests
  • Definition — A detailed description of what the field represents
