Westpac is a public banking institution headquartered in Australia. It provides financial services including consumer, business, and institutional banking, as well as wealth management and insurance. Established in 1817 as the Bank of New South Wales, it became Westpac Banking Corporation after merging with the Commercial Bank of Australia in 1982. The company is included in the Forbes Global 2000.
