State Grid Corporation of China

The State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) is a government-owned company that constructs and operates power grids and distributes energy to 80% of the Chinese grid, including five megacities, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Jiangsu and Shanghai. State Grid is the largest utility company in the world in terms of the number of people served and the number of people employed. It is also one of the world’s largest companies by revenue and is listed in the Fortune Global 500.
