SAMA

SAMA (Saudi Central Bank), formerly known as the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, is the state-owned central bank of Saudi Arabia, headquartered in the country. Founded in 1952, SAMA is responsible for monetary policy, banking regulation and financial stability, and manages SAMA Foreign Holdings, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. The institution is a significant stakeholder of the Saudi government.
