OPERS

Established in 1935, the OPERS (Ohio Public Employees Retirement System) is a state-owned pension fund headquartered in the United States. It provides retirement, disability, and survivor benefit programmes, as well as health care coverage, to public employees in Ohio. OPERS manages multiple investment plans, including defined benefit, defined contribution, and health care funds, and is governed by the OPERS Board of Trustees. Its members include employees of state and local government entities, universities, and public hospitals.
