Ontario Municipal Employees

Ontario Municipal Employees (OMERS) is a jointly sponsored, defined benefit pension plan headquartered in Canada. Established in 1963, it provides retirement and related benefits to unionised and non-unionised employees of municipalities, school boards, local boards, transit systems, electrical utilities, emergency services, and children’s aid societies across Ontario. OMERS manages a diversified global investment portfolio spanning infrastructure, real estate, equities, and fixed income to support its pension obligations.
