NTT was originally established as a monopoly in 1952 to take over the country's telecommunications system. Nowadays, NTT provides a broad range of telecommunications, IT, and network services, including fixed and mobile communications, data centres, and digital solutions. The company is known for its NTT DOCOMO and NTT Communications brands. The company is listed in the Fortune Global 500 and the Forbes Global 2000.
