Norfund

Norfund is a development finance institution owned and funded by the Norwegian Government, established under the Norfund Act of 1997. Its mandate is to help build sustainable businesses and industries in developing countries by providing equity and other forms of risk capital. The institution focuses on investments in sectors such as renewable energy, green infrastructure, financial institutions, and scalable enterprises including agribusiness and manufacturing, and operates primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa, with additional investments in Asia and Latin America.
