Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) is a publicly listed majority state-owned enterprise headquartered in Naju-Si, South Korea. It was formed in 1961 when the government merged three private companies. KEPCO is the largest energy company in South Korea, holding a monopoly on electricity transmission and distribution and a majority market share in power generation. kKEPCO is listed in the Fortune Global 500 and the Forbes Global 2000.
