Kolkata Metro

Kolkata Metro is a government-owned enterprise headquartered in West Bengal, India established in 2008. It oversees development and operation of the East-West metro corridor connecting Kolkata and Howrah. The line includes underwater tunnel segments beneath the Hooghly River, making it India’s first metro to cross a river underground. Kolkata Metro is responsible for construction, operations, and maintenance of this rapid transit link.
