Ethiopian Electric Utility

Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) is a state-owned enterprise headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the government as a significant shareholder. EEU established in 2014 after the restructuring of the former Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, originating from its electricity distribution division. The company is responsible for the distribution and sale of electric power, as well as the operation and maintenance of the electricity distribution network across the country. Its main activities include providing electricity services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers, and supporting national electrification initiatives.
