China Southern Power Grid

China Southern Power Grid, headquartered in Guangzhou, China, is one of two state-owned energy distribution companies established during China's power system reform in 2002. The company is responsible for investment, construction and management of power transmission and distribution in China's five southern provinces - Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan and Yunnan - and supplies power to 20% of the Chinese population. Its main activities include the operation and maintenance of power grids, as well as the integration of new energy sources and smart grid technologies.
