CalSTRS

CalSTRS (California State Teachers' Retirement System), headquartered in the United States, is a state-owned pension fund providing retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to California’s public school educators from prekindergarten through community college. It serves members and beneficiaries through a traditional defined benefit plan, cash balance plans and a voluntary defined contribution plan. CalSTRS is recognised as one of the largest public pension funds in the world, managing assets on behalf of educators and their beneficiaries.
