Company engagement is an integral part of the assessment process, therefore draft assessments are shared with companies to give them an opportunity to provide feedback. This step, which takes place between July and November 2025, helps identify information that may have been overlooked and allows companies to clarify or supplement their disclosures before results are finalised.
If, following this engagement, a company has evidence or believes evidence exists that public information has not been considered in its final assessment, or that its score has been miscalculated in accordance with the methodology, it should raise this with WBA via [email protected] within four weeks of the benchmark publication (by 13 February 2026).
Companies may contact WBA to seek clarification or indicate that they wish to appeal the score they received. When submitting an appeal, the company must specify which indicator(s) or element(s) are being appealed, provide relevant evidence and explain why the company is requesting a rescore.
WBA will review the claim to determine whether the appeal is eligible and will respond to the company, outlining whether the appeal will be taken forward and the reasons for the decision.
