Talya is the research project manager for the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB) at WBA. She joined in March 2020 and has the overall responsibility to manage the CHRB research process in a smooth way & engage with stakeholders to further the use of the data and methodologies produced. Talya believes that identifying and mitigating human rights risks and impacts in the private sector is the new frontier of human rights work, specifically in developing business strategies and solutions which include both sustainability and human rights targets as a means to promote systemic change.
Prior to this Talya spent time working with the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) in Paris, where she managed a project on integrating human rights into investment strategies. Her previous experience includes assisting in research for Human Rights Watch (HRW) in Paris and New York and the completion of a civil service program with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Israel. She holds a BA in human rights from Columbia University in the city of New York, and a Masters from the Sciences Po School of International Affairs in Paris, with a focus on international law.
