Sara joined WBA and the Food and Agriculture team in 2020. Her work focuses on research planning, methodology development, data analysis, and engagement with companies and key stakeholders. Her experience and interest is in analyzing the role and impact of the private sector in global food value chains, from agriculture to consumers. Her main expertise is nutrition and sustainable diets.
Prior to joining WBA, she worked with the ClimateSouth team at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability, where she collected data on global and multi-stakeholder climate action initiatives. Her interest in sustainable food supply chains started while interning at Solidaridad Europe, supporting the Corporate Engagement team.
Sara holds a MSc in Sustainable Development from Utrecht University and a BSc in Economics from University of Bologna.
