Joachim joined WBA in September 2022 as Climate Policy Lead to develop WBA’s climate policy strategy, build multi-istakeholder coalitions with key decarbonization and just transition stakeholders and provide insights and recommendations to the policy making community. He is passionate about the connection between climate and social policy and creating change through multi-stakeholder coalitions. He previously worked at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) as a policy analyst co-leading work on just transition indicators and working on a variety of climate related topics including green fiscal policy, engaging climate and development advocates to reform national oil companies and green recovery. He holds a master’s degree in development studies from the London School of Economics and a BA in political science and economics from McGill University.
