Trend

Nucor receives a trend score of =. If the company were reassessed in the near future, its score would likely remain unchanged. The company’s low-carbon business model has always focused on pioneering electric arc furnace (EAF) based and circular steelmaking and leads the sector on this front. On the other hand, the company’s emissions intensity targets fall short of the reductions required for a 1.5°C scenario. Nucor has yet to explore and integrate hydrogen in its steelmaking and has only started exploring green hydrogen for its direct reduced iron (DRI) operations with no scheduled growth plans.
