China Steel
China Steel is the largest steelmaker in Taiwan specialising in steel bars, coils, plates and wire rods. China Steel produces around 1 million tonnes of crude steel annually and exports to China, Japan and Southeast Asia. In 2022, its revenue was USD 7.8 billion, and it spent a total of USD 6.78 million (9% of R&D spending) on efficiency recovery equipment and another USD 7.86 million (10% of R&D spending) on CCUS technology for large-scale commercial deployment.
