The food service operating segment serves leading food service establishment like restaurants, hotels, and convenience stores. The international segment focuses on its growing presence outside the United States. Internationally, the company markets its products through Hormel Foods International Corporation (HFIC), a wholly owned subsidiary. HFIC has a global presence in the international marketplace through joint ventures in locations including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, and the Philippines.
