Danone
Danone is one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies, with market-leading positions across four business groups: Essential Dairy and Plant-based Products; Specialized Nutrition (including early life nutrition and medical nutrition); and Waters. Danone is headquartered in France, but it was founded in Barcelona, Spain when Isaac Carasso launched the brand in 1919. Danone sells products in over 120 countries, with the United States, China and France being its main markets, earning over 56% of its revenue in European and North American markets. Its portfolio includes global brands such as Activia, Alpro, Danette and Evian. Its latest acquisitions include plant-based pioneer Follow Your Heart and China infant-formula firm Dumex. Also, it expands in Specialized Nutrition in Poland through its acquisition of Promedica.
