Carrefour
Carrefour operates nearly 14,350 retail stores and e-commerce sites across Europe and Latin America, spanning over 40 countries. Majority of the group's revenue is generated in France, where Carrefour established its first supermarket in 1960, followed by its inaugural hypermarket in 1963. Its growth has been further fuelled by acquisitions, including Atacadão, a Brazilian wholesale hypermarket, in 2007. In total, Carrefour serves an estimated 80 million customers worldwide each year.
