Newmont is one of the largest gold producers globally and is also engaged in the production of copper, silver, zinc and lead. The company acquired Goldcorp in 2019, reinforcing its mining portfolio. Based in Denver, United States, Newmont also has significant foreign operations in Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Peru, Suriname, Argentina, Chile, Australia and Ghana. In 2022, the company earned USD 11.9 billion in revenue and employed 14,600 people.
