Segment ranking(s) summary

Uni-President is in multiple business segments. It performs the best overall compared to its peers in the animal protein segment, and in the top third of food retailers, food and beverage manufacturers and processors, and agricultural products and commodities. Across all segments, its best performance is in governance and strategy, leading the ranking among food retailers and second-best among animal protein companies for that measurement area. Its worse performance across the board is in social inclusion, due to limited disclosure on key topics such as child and forced labour. Uni-President lags behind its peers in all of its segments in the environment measurement area, sitting in the bottom half in all. This is because the company fails to disclose efforts related to animal welfare, protein diversification and  soil health and agrobiodiversity Uni-President could strengthen its position by creating targets related to environmental objectives, and by establishing social inclusion objectives.
