Sanderson Farms is a vertically integrated poultry processing company engaged in the production, processing, marketing and distribution of fresh and frozen chicken. From a small general feed and seed business in 1947, it has grown to become a global concern with sales of more than USD 3.4 billion and approximately 623 million processed chickens in 2019. The company sells its fresh and frozen chicken products primarily under the Sanderson Farms brand to retailers, distributors and casual dining operators. It is currently the third largest poultry producer in the United States, operating 13 processing facilities, 10 hatcheries and 9 feed mills.
