Copersucar

Copersucar is a global trader of sugar and ethanol, with integrated logistics throughout its entire value chain. Founded in 1959 in the state of São Paulo under the name Central Cooperative, Copersucar is now one of the largest traders of sugar and ethanol in the world, with a annual production capacity of over 10 billion litres of ethanol. It maintains a large domestic market share, which continues to grow. Copersucar key subsidiaries include Eco-Energy and Alvean, the latter being a joint venture with Cargill.
