Its consumer division provides wireless and wireline communications services to customers in the United States. In 2019, it had 95 million wireless retail connections and 6 million broadband connections, and its business division had around 25 million wireless retail connections and around 489,000 broadband connections. The company provides online content including via brands such as Yahoo, HuffPost and TechCrunch through Verizon Media. Verizon also operates one of the largest internet backbone networks in the world.
