Shamistha is an Australian coffee lover with a background in corporate law, specifically engaging with policy, law and practice to promote respect for human rights by businesses. Her adventurous spirit brought her to the Netherlands where she recently completed her Masters in European and International Human Rights Law.

As a Human Rights Research Analyst at WBA, Shamistha is involved in the development of the human rights layer of various WBA benchmarks, as well as the cross-cutting social transformation component. She strongly believes that businesses can be used as a force for good in society and that transformative change within businesses is needed in order to mainstream human rights on the corporate agenda so that the SDGs can be achieved.
