Nathan works in research, with a particular interest in sustainability along the food and agricultural value chain and a strong belief in the potential of benchmarking to positively influence the private sector worldwide. Prior to joining the WBA Nathan worked for the Access to Seeds Index, primarily focusing on the Eastern and Southern Africa region, and for his masters carried out first-hand research on the impact of land grabbing on the livelihoods and wellbeing of smallholder farmers in Tanzania. He also has previous research experience in GIS and remote sensing, and supported conflict resolution programs in South Sudan, Mauritania and Côte d’Ivoire while working for Concordis International.
