Mulya is WBA’s research lead on urban transformation benchmark, where he guides the methodology, evaluation and ranking of companies in terms of their contribution to sustainable urban development. He has worked and written extensively on urban planning, development, governance and competitiveness, and has had consultancy assignments with various international organizations and consulting firms.
Mulya has also shared and chaired panels with ministers, mayors, and CEOs of multinational corporations, and worked with government agencies, businesses, and civil society groups in Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, China, Egypt, and the U.S. He has a Ph. D in public policy from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s in urban planning from the University of California, Los Angeles.
